Ritchies Transport has achieved accreditation for the top international standard for workplace health and safety systems.

ISO 45001 is used globally across the transport, logistics, construction and manufacturing sectors.  It’s the gold standard for safety management systems. It highlights the company’s commitment to its people and passengers and provides assurance that the systems, processes and people meet strict global benchmarks.

The standard is focused on proactive management of risks and continual improvement. It signals that Ritchies has:

  • Embedded health and safety best practice into everyday operations across all sites and services.
  • Identify hazards early, reduce workplace risks and strengthen safety leadership.
  • A safety approach which moves beyond compliance to create a culture where safety is actively managed and improving.

Passengers, communities and transport partners can have confidence that safety risks are being consistently managed across our operations and that international best practice is being applied.

Kate Bull, Ritchies Health, Safety and Wellbeing Lead says reaching this benchmark is an important milestone.

“For our people, ISO 45001 reinforces Ritchies commitment to a safe, supportive working environment, with clear safety leadership and accountability. It’s also part of our long-term vision of raising standards across public transport.”

We are proud to be independently certified against a global standard and remain focused on lifting performance, reducing risk and creating the safest outcomes for everyone who travels with or works for the Ritchies group.
