. . . bus drivers were nothing but professional and authentically themselves . . .

I just wanted to get in touch to say thank you to Ritchies on behalf of the New Zealand Medical Students' Association for the amazing service that you provided over the weekend. Our conference was an amazing success and the bus drivers were nothing but professional and authentically themselves, which made it all the more meaningful working with your company. Everyone from Ritchies that I had the pleasure of working with was adaptable as our plans changed and did so with smiling faces; I would highly recommend your service to anyone planning such an event in the future! All the best - it has been a pleasure working with you. Su-Ann Yee, New Zealand Medical Students Association

. . . we particularly want to thank David for his expert driving . . .

Just a quick message to say thank you for all your organization for our bus trip this last weekend – it all went very smoothly and we particularly want to thank David (Seath) for his expert driving, especially on the way down with so much traffic trying to get out of Auckland which made it a long strenuous trip down to Ohakune, with a lot of the travel in the dark. He is an excellent driver and with his knowledge and skill, everyone felt safe and he made our trip all the more enjoyable. Are we able to make an extra payment to you for a bonus to him with our thanks and gratitude. Jeff Turner

. . . it was the BEST bus ride we have ever had . . .

Today at Marist School we had our school cross country at the Domain. On our way back to school we were lucky enough to be driven by Driver Craig. Once we were all settled on the bus, he introduced himself and said how he knew we'd had a great day because of all the childrens smiley faces. He told everyone to sit back and enjoy the ride as he would get us back to school safe and sound. He then asked the children if they liked music and proceeded to play songs that the children sang to, all the way back to school. Our year 2 and 3 children and the teachers said it was the BEST bus ride we have ever had, and Craig was the coolest driver. We really wanted to share this with you. He's an absolute superstar and you are lucky to have him driving your buses. Thank you Craig. Bethany Lockie, Office Administrator, Marist School Mt Albert

. . . It is incredibly stressful organising a large number of children . . .

On the 18th of May we hired a double decker bus that took us to the Glen Eden Playhouse theatre . . . wanted to say that the service we received was on-time and professional. It is incredibly stressful organising a large number of children to go on a trip and it is made more stressful if the bus is not on-time or where it is meant to be, so thank-you, and thanks also to your lovely driver, Michael Peters. Ngā mihi, Toni Mildon, Centre Director, The Point Early Childhood Centre

. . . I just wanted to thank you . . .

Firstly for your patience as I navigated my first schools event. For all your advice and support. For providing such a fabulous service. For providing such wonderful drivers. For helping us shift the paradigms of, and breaking down some barriers for, over 800 tamariki from across Auckland. The feed back is starting to trickle back and the kids, parents and teachers are raving about everything. Some had never been on a bus before, let alone head into the city or visit the arena. We showed them that not only are they welcome, they belong and they fit right in. They learnt so much about themselves, art, pop culture and music, without them even realising it because they were having so much fun. I so hope I can be in contact soon with another adventure. Big hugs to you all and the Ritchies, Birkenhead Transport, Murphy teams. Suzy Cato

Thank you so much for being an AMAZING bus driver

Dear Bus Driver Craig, Thank you for playing the best music from all of the requests. I liked that would let us play our own music. The things I loved about camp were paddle boarding because I liked going out on the water and then learning to do all the movies to when paddle boarding. Thank you so much for being an AMAZING bus driver. Connor, Belmont Primary School

Craig, thank you for being a great bus driver . . .

Dear Craig, thank you for being a great bus driver and teaching us about anatidiephobia. You made all of the bus fun and enjoyable and I always wait in anticipation for you to crack a hilarious joke. My favourite part of the camp was the escape rooms, because there was a lot of teamwork and fun clues. Thank you for taking us there. Once again, thank you for amazing bus rides to all the fun places. Camp would not have gone ahead without you. Alex, Belmont Primary School

Sene is such a lovely lady that goes the extra mile . . . her service includes a smile

I would like to bring to your notice one of your bus drivers for Bus 195, which takes me most of the way to the city centre. I think her name is Sene, a young lady, she sometimes takes me back home on bus 195 which goes to Green Bay. Sene is such a lovely lady that goes the extra mile . . . her service includes a smile when I get into the bus. Also it’s not only me, but my son, sometimes he takes the same bus and and also appreciates the service of your company. Thank You, Tulika Mehta

. . . massive compliments to the driver for handling a nasty situation on the bus with grace, integrity and respect . . .

I’d like to give massive compliments to the driver for handling a nasty situation on the bus with grace, integrity and respect to the public. While driving on Hutchinson Road, a passerby threw a rock through the window of the bus hitting a passenger in the jaw. The driver immediately checked on the passenger to make sure she was ok and deescalated the situation with traumatised passengers. After calming certain passengers down and helping the injured passenger clean broken glass of her, the driver assessed the situation to see if the perpetrator was still around. Thank you driver for making passengers feel safe and assuring the woman was ok before continuing your route. We need more responsible drivers like this in the public transport system. James Heskitt, Auckland

Exceptional service

Bus was the 186 from the stop 5172 on 18 March 2021 at 9:35am. I didn’t catch this service , but was waiting for another bus and stood in admiration watching this driver. He came out of his bus, stood outside on the footpath and greeted every single passenger before they boarded the bus. He was amazing with the children who were with their mothers. I just stood there admiring his exceptional service and would like him to be commended. Please pass this feedback on to the ‘lovely driver.’ Janice Bright, New Lynn
