Yesterday I caught your Sunday late afternoon bus service from Queenstown to Dunedin. I have never travelled with Ritchies before. Leaving Arrowtown at 12.05pm the driver was so helpful . . .

My son and I travelled from Arrowtown to Queenstown and return on 11th July. Leaving Arrowtown at 12.05pm the driver was so helpful in getting us organized with a card. Excellent service.

Coming home (arriving in Arrowtown around 5.30pm) there were three young girls traveling together that where being disruptive and smart. The driver handled it so well, he was respectful yet clear and firm of his expectations. All in all excellent service today.

I was in Queenstown overnight on Wednesday and I rode buses all Wed afternoon and Thurs morning. It was useful for me to get an idea of where the routes go and to see some of the challenges that your drivers face on a daily basis. I think it will help me to realise the nature of complaints and I can be realistic when reading what customers are expecting versus what is reality. I found every one of the drivers to be polite and knowledgeable. I even asked one for directions as I passed an open bus door and she was really helpful. I wanted you to have this positive feedback, I saw the staff chatting at the Frankton hub and they seemed to get along well and the overall mood was really positive. Well done. At a time when domestic options for travellers were exceptionally limited, my team and I really appreciated your efforts to facilitate their transport, particularly, as I understand it, it brought minimal commercial benefit for Ritchie’s and a large administrative load. . . . the buses were clean, drivers professional, helpful and timely. I couldn’t recommend Ritchies Queenstown more! We had clear communication throughout and if I needed any help (one of the buses was stuck in traffic) the number you provided sent me through to a very handy helpdesk where they were able to let me know how far away the bus was.
